16th edition of the Alberta Francophone Games
May 22-23-24 2009

Following the commendable success of the 15th Alberta Francophone Games in 2007 in Red Deer and of the Canadian Francophone Games 2008 in Edmonton, the FSFA is proud to announce the 16th edition of the Alberta Francophone Games in Edmonton in May 2009!

This year, over 300 young French-speaking athletes from all corners of the province will reconvene for an unforgettable weekend. From May 22nd to 24th, the atmosphere in the capital city will reverberate to the rhythms of the athletes’ efforts.

Spokesperson
We are extremely proud to have with us an athlete showing great potential in his domain. An avid biathlete since adolescence, François Leboeuf is currently making a name for himself on the international scene, racking up impressive results on the biathlon World Cup circuit. Honored with the prestigious "Academic All Canadian'' title – awarded to athletes who maintain a high academic record – François continues his university studies in French in Alberta, and keeps practicing his favorite sport.
